NY Army National Guard Specialist Kevin Hamilton, a Lake View resident, reenlists on board CH-47 helicopter

Latham, NY (07/30/2018) — New York Army National Guard Specialist Kevin Hamilton, a Lake View resident, reenlisted during training at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania, on June 19.

Hamilton is a military police Soldier assigned to the 105th Military Police Company in Buffalo. He and several other Soldiers reenlisted on board a CH-47 helicopter flying above Fort Indiantown Gap.

He enlisted in the New York Army National Guard in February 1914 and was part of a deployment to the U.S. Virgin Island in the fall of 2017 in the wake of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Hamilton and other New York Army National Guard MPs assisted local law enforcement officials on the islands.

Hamilton holds the National Defense Service Ribbon, the New York State Humanitarian Service Medal, the Coast Guard Presidential Unit Citation and the Virgin Island Emergency Service Ribbon.
