Capital Region Airman recognized for National Guard achievement

LATHAM, N.Y. (04/14/2025) — New York Air National Guard Commander Maj. Gen. Michael Bank presents the Meritorious Service Medal to Air National Guard Col. Michelle Buonome at the New York National Guard state headquarters in Latham, N.Y. on April 5, 2025.

Buonome, from Schenectady, New York, is assigned to the New York Air National Guard headquarters detachment.

She was recognized for managing multiple complex human resources programs or personnel programs that established the right mix of civilian and military personnel within the New York National Guard for the past six years.
