New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs Annual Report for 2024 is now available on line.

The 103 page document highlights New York National Guard missions and accomplishments during 2024

Latham, New York (06/18/2025) — The annual report for the New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs and the New York National Guard is now available on the Division of Military and Naval Affairs website.

The New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs is the state agency which oversees the New York Military forces on behalf of Governor Kathy Hochul.

The New York Military Forces consist of the New York Army and Air National Guard, the New York Naval Militia, and the New York Guard.

The New York Naval Militia is a state defense force comprised mostly of Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard reservists who volunteer to serve the state when not in their federal duty status.

The New York Guard is a small state defense force comprised of volunteers.

The total strength of the New York Military Forces is approximately 21,000 personnel.

The report includes information on the strength of the forces, demographic information, as well as information about deployments, major building projects, and Soldier accomplishments.

The report also includes information about the state and federal civilian workforces which support the Division of Military and Naval Affairs and the New York National Guard.
