Porter Corners Resident Commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in New York Army National Guard

Latham, NY (10/15/2019) — Samantha Dominguez, a Porter Corners, N.Y., resident, has been commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant in the New York Army National Guard.

She was commissioned during a ceremony held on Oct. 8 at the Albany Stratton Veterans Administration Medical Center where she works alongside her husband, New York Army National Guard Sgt. 1st Class Erwin Dominguez.

Dominguez was commissioned as a military intelligence officer and is assigned to the 501st Ordinance Battalion based in Glenville, N.Y.

She enlisted into the New York Army National Guard in September of 2018.

At the VA, she works as a social worker and had her rank pinned on by Brig. Gen. Michel Natali, assistant adjutant general of New York and her husband, who gave her the ceremonial first salute.
