Seven New York Air National Guardsman at EADS Receive New Ranks
ROME, N.Y, (10/16/2017) — Maj. Gen. Anthony P. German, the Adjutant General for the State of New York, announces the recent promotion of members of the New York Air National Guard's 224th Air Defense Group in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership.
The 224th Air Defense Group provides the forces to conduct the Eastern Air Defense Sector's tactical command and control mission. The 224th ADG is composed of the 224th Air Defense Squadron and 224th Support Squadron.
Promoted Airmen are:
Kriston M. Brown, Rome, to the rank of Technical Sergeant. Brown is an Air Surveillance Technician assigned to the 224th Air Defense Squadron.
Derek M. Miceli, New Hartford, to the rank of Technical Sergeant. Miceli is an Identification Technician assigned to the 224th Air Defense Squadron.
Robert E. Raymond, Boonville, to the rank of Technical Sergeant. Raymond is an Interface Control Technician at the 224th Air Defense Squadron.
Jeffrey J. Coleman, Rome, to the rank of Technical Sergeant. Coleman is a Tracking Technician at the 224th Air Defense Squadron.
John M. Izyk, Fulton, to the rank of Technical Sergeant. Izyk is a Tracking Technician at the 224th Air Defense Squadron.
Gery P. Latus, Rome, to the rank of Technical Sergeant. Latus is a Command and Control Battle Management journeyman assigned to the 224th Air Defense Squadron.
Jarrod R. Becker, Rome, to the rank of Staff Sergeant. Becker is a Command and Control Battle Management journeyman assigned to the 224th Air Defense Squadron.
Air National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability and development potential.
