She also led EADS efforts supporting the SpaceX mission to replenish the International Space Station, served as key member of the command and control (C2) system modernization team, and coordinated new cruise missile defense capabilities with multiple agencies. Camden resident wins two annual awards from Continental NORAD Command

Schenck also led a 31-member NORAD team that developed new combat identification procedures and supervised the training of more than 130 EADS Airmen. Camden resident Rob Zoldi promoted to chief master sergeant in Air National Guard
The 224th Air Defense Group promoted its senior enlisted leader to chief master sergeant, the Air National Guard's highest enlisted rank, on March 2 during a short ceremony at Griffiss Institute. Chief Master Sgt. Robert S. Zoldi, a Camden resident, was promoted by Col. Joseph F. Roos, the 224th ADG Commander, who served as the presiding officer at the ceremony. Chief Zoldi has served as the ADG's Senior Enlisted Leader since October 2021. As 224th ADG Senior Enlisted Leader, Chief Zoldi provides general supervision to the command's enlisted force and is the principal advisor to the ADG Commander on all matters concerning the health, morale, welfare, quality of life, recognition, professional development, training, and military readiness of the organization's enlisted personnel. Chief Zoldi has served in the Air National Guard since 1999 and at EADS since 2003. Prior to his current position, he supported more than 400 personnel as the 224th ADG Personnel Superintendent, where he was responsible for the unit's personnel, medical and training offices. Chief Zoldi's major awards include multiple Meritorious Service Medals, Air Force Commendation Medals and the Air Force Achievement Medal. He has also received four New York Air National Guard Long and Faithful Service awards and six New York Air National Guard Physical Fitness awards. Durhamville resident Dan Foley named civilian of the year at Eastern Air Defense Sector
The Eastern Air Defense Sector (EADS) and the New York Air National Guard's 224th Air Defense Group (ADG) have named their annual award winners for the past year. "The nation's air defense mission requires engaged and consistent excellence from all of our members," said Col. Joseph F. Roos, 224th ADG Commander. "The COVID-19 pandemic made this past year unusually difficult and our winners distinguished themselves by exceeding our demanding requirements. Rome resident is Honor Guard member of the year at Eastern Air Defense Sector
The Eastern Air Defense Sector (EADS) and the New York Air National Guard's 224th Air Defense Group (ADG) have named their annual award winners for the past year. "The nation's air defense mission requires engaged and consistent excellence from all of our members," said Col. Joseph F. Roos, 224th ADG Commander. "The COVID-19 pandemic made this past year unusually difficult and our winners distinguished themselves by exceeding our demanding requirements. I congratulate them on their outstanding accomplishments and thank them for their efforts." Award recipients included: Tech. Sgt. Ryan LaClair, Rome, N.Y., Outstanding Honor Guard Member. A weapons director at the 224th Air Defense Squadron, LaClair volunteered for Honor Guard service and participated in details on his personal time. LaClair served as the Honor Guard flag-barer at Rome's Honor America Days, the Griffiss Park Vietnam Memorial dedication, and at EADS 9/11 Remembrance ceremony, which was attended by more than 200 guests. He also served as part of Honor Guard details at six funerals for local veterans. Clinton resident named Outstanding Senior NCO at Eastern Air Defense Sector

Robert Aikins, Clinton, N.Y., Outstanding Senior Noncommissioned Officer. Aikins, the Security Forces Operations Noncommissioned Officer-in-Charge at the 224th Support Squadron, identified and corrected more than 20 deficiencies as the leader of the Commander's Inspection Program, overhauled the unit fitness program, and coordinated an integrated defense council. Aikins was also the primary coordinator for an Air National Guard training course in Rome that more than 80 Airmen from across New York attended.
