New York Air National Guard Lieutenant Colonel Michael Adamitis takes command of the 174th Mission Support Group

Hancock Field Air National Guard Base , N.,Y. (04/11/2019) — New York Air National Guard Lieutenant Colonel Michael Adamitis took command of the 174th Mission Support Group during a Change of Command Ceremony held on April 7th at Hancock Field, Syracuse, New York.

In the traditional ceremony, the outgoing commander, Colonel John O'Connor, symbolically passed the Group's flag to the new commander. Colonel O'Connor will be moving on to the Air National Guard Readiness Center.

The 174th Mission Support Group is a part of the 17th Attack Wing which is based at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base.

Lieutenant Colonel Adamitis was commissioned in 1994. He previously served as the 174th Deputy Maintenance Group Commander.
