| New York Army National Guard Staff Sgt. Thomas Carpenter, a member of Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 108th Infantry will represent the New York Army National Guard and the United States Army at a six-week long international training class at the Brazilian Army Jungle Warfare School. Carpenter, a full-time National Guard Soldier is a graduate of the Army's Ranger and Airborne Schools.
