FORT BENNING, GA (12/07/2017) — The Army National Guard says it is family, and in the Bozier household from New Rochelle, N.Y., they live up to that creed with the November 9, 2017 basic combat training graduation of Pvt. Justin Bozier, age 19, here at the U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence.

Bozier, a new Soldier for Company B, 101st Expeditionary Signal Battalion in Orangeburg, was joined at the graduation ceremony by his father, Lt. Col. Kenneth Bozier, an infantry officer assigned to the New York Army National Guard's Joint Force Headquarters.

The Bozier family now has three family members serving, including Justin's twin brother Jordon, an ROTC cadet currently in his sophomore year at Saint Bonaventure University. Jordon is considering his own National Guard enlistment as part of the ROTC simultaneous membership program.

"I do expect both of them to be serving in the New York Army Guard before I retire," the senior Bozier said about drilling alongside Justin and Jordon before his own expected retirement in 2022. "For me, I can't express the words. I never imagined that there will be another Private Bozier. Now, there might be two!

Justin now goes attends the Army signal school at Fort Gordon, Ga., to qualify as a Multichannel Transmission Systems Operator Maintainer.

"I am very proud that two of my sons want to serve in the Army National Guard following me," Lt. Col. Ken Bozier said. "In my opinion, the future is in great hands because the next generation will continue the tradition of the New York Army National Guard."

"The military has been very good for me and my family," Ken Bozier said. "I have been truly blessed beyond comprehension."
